1.Equipment Uses

The equipment called taper seamless steel pipe machine is mainly used in the manufacture of a variety of seamless taper steel pipe, which is a key component of manufacturing converter top-blown taper oxygen lance. It is the world’s first large hot rolling seamless taper steel pipe forming equipment, which is tested many times and for 3 years by our enterprise engineers and gradually developed successfully. It has won national brand. By this technology, we have successfully produced the world's first 8000mm length, big end 500mm, small end 300mm, 12mm wall thickness taper seamless steel tubes, which has made the successful production of taper oxygen lance become reality and filled the technology gap in the history of oxygen lance steel making.

3. Equipment Description

As the traditional steelmaking process, adopts straight oxygen lance, the oxygen lance sticking is a common problem. It is the most difficult work for BOF workers to clean sticky oxygen lance. The steel and slag mixture stuck on the oxygen lance is very difficult to be removed. The workers often suffer roasted injury, burns, bump injury and other accidents. The problem has a certain risk, prolongs oxygen-lancing time, reduces the utilization ratio of oxygen, also affects heating-up, carbon reduction, slagging and other steelmaking processes, and brings a series of negative effects on smelting technology.
The best way to avoid oxygen lance sticking is to use taper oxygen lance. The split taper oxygen lance body near the nozzle is tapered, upper end is bigger and lower end is small. The steel slag cannot stick on the lance. The steel slag splashed on the lance body will drop down naturally along the taper lance into the furnace(out increase and energy saving). The production practice has proved that the taper oxygen lance has 3 to 4 times lifetime than traditional straight pipe oxygen lance, shorten 1/3 of oxygen steelmaking time, and increased steel output and improves the efficiency of steelmaking.
